The arrest, trial and prosecution of
the “Cocaine Angel” and 19 of her
partners, both here in Ghana and
United Kingdom (UK), has taken an
interesting twist with the public
confession by Kennedy Agyapong
that, members of his immediate
family deals in narcotic drugs.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, his sister, Betty Agyapong, and her
husband, Sharif, alias Sharif
Mohammed, were deeply involved
in the cocaine trade with one of
them serving a jail term in Thailand, on cocaine-related charges.
Betty Agyapong; his beloved sister he revealed, was mercilessly beaten by him (Ken) in a
personal effort to physically exorcise the cocaine trade from her mentally.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, revealed on
Asempa FM’s socio-political talk show programme “Ekosi Sen” last Friday, on how an assault case was lodged at the Legon Police
Station against him by his sister; BettybAgyapong, said to be the owner of the Hollywood Lexus Suit Hotel in Madina – Accra.
He further disclosed how the case was transferred to the Nima Police Station, and mentioned one time Inspector General of Police
(IGP), Peter Nanfuri, as being aware of details of the case, who unconfirmed report say was once
also convicted for cocaine offense with others, saying she has turned into a drug addict.
The loud legislator, however, did not reveal how he got out of the assault charge; which is a criminal offense under the Criminal Code,
except to say that his police statement on the violent attack on his sister, is a public record at
Legon and Nima Police Stations for all to access.
On Sharif Mohammed, Kennedy Agyapong, revealed that he was arrested in Thailand and
transferred to Canada, where he is a citizen,however, he (Ken) had nothing to do with the transfer to finish serving his jail term, as
claimed by a Presidential Staffer, Samuel Nettey George.
Mr. Agyapong, had angrily called into the programme to react to claims by, Samuel Nettey George, that he appears to know every cocaine baron operating in Ghana, including their background, friends, family members, properties and political connections.
Mr. George, made mention of David Kwadwo Anim, alias Le Baron, who have been arrested in
the UK over drug related offenses.
The self-confessed cocaine dealer, Nayele Nyatefeh, alias Ruby Adu Gyemfi, alias Ruby Appiah, alias Ruby Addo, alias Angel’s arrest in
UK, as well as her two accomplices; Sadelia Nuhu and Nana Akua Amponsah.
Mr. George, also challenged Kennedy Agyapong,to also tell the public what he knows about
Betty Agyapong, Sharif Mohammed and a certain
Samira, said to be their daughter.
He also dared Kennedy Agyapong, to also reveal whether or not he knows or has any sexual
relations with a certain daughter of Mr. Raymond Amankwa, called “Obaa Yaa”, who is said to have served jail terms in the US, France
and currently in Brazil, all over cocaine related offenses.
Kennedy Agyapong, who was very angry, rained insults and several unprintable Akan adjectives
on Mr. George for raising the question, over his deep knowledge of all drug dealers operating in the country.
He admitted having a baby with Obaa Yaa, and promised to repeat it again given the opportunity, affirming his family ties with the
convicted Cocaine Baron.
Raymond Amankwa, is a brother in-law of the NPP Flagbearer for the 2016 Presidential election, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Mr Amankwah is said to own a cold store called “Beyeman” on the Graphic Road in Accra.
He described the lady as a very industrious woman, who is also related to Poku Transport of
Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, and also disclosed that the lady is currently a timber merchant,
adding that he has no regret for snatching the lady and impregnating her.
Kennedy Agyapong, completely ignored pleas from the host of the show, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, alias KABA to end the insult.
Meanwhile, the younger brother of President John Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama, has instructed
his lawyers to sue Kennedy Agyapong, for linking him to the illegal narcotic drugs trade.
The business mogul, questioned why the NPP MP, knows all cocaine dealers in this country,
while repeatedly denying accusation that he peddles narcotic drugs, and made his fortunes from the illicit business.
Mr. Agyapong, is on record to have accused owner of Multi Media Group, Mother Company
of Joy FM, Kwesi Twum, of dabbling in the illegal
drug business and linked him to one Jones who resides in Bronx – New York in the United States
of America (USA), as his accomplice.
Again, the loud-mouthed politician, few months ago, on hearing of the arrest of another
Ghanaian and hotelier, David Kojo Anim, admitted he was a bosom friend of the Le Baron Hotel owner, saying he could not denied their friendship just because he has been arrested with drugs in the UK.
Mr. Agyapong at the time, revealed that it was Mr. Anim, who supplied the Akufo-Addo-NPP
2012 campaign with over 100 party branded motorbikes.
Few days ago, the legislator in granting series of interviews on the arrest of Ms. Ametefe, at the
Heathrow Airport in London, admitted yet again of knowing her and her two partners in crime –
Sadalia Nuhu and Nana Akua Amposah – very well as drug couriers, and that Ruby is a friend
of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and Dr. Stephen Opuni of Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
The NPP MP, was also quoted in the Daily Guide newspaper as knowing where Sadalia Nuhu and
Nana Akua Amposah, were hiding, and that they were in Togo.
Ken Agyapong is also on record to have taken on the Mills-Mahama administration for making a
jamboree over the arrest of Asem Dake alias “The Limping Man”, over his connection with the
missing 77 parcels of Cocaine from the MV Benjamin vessel.
Following his arrest, Kennedy Agyapong, said the “Limping Man” has been around the Kufuor era,
when the search for him begun, therefore, the Mills government should not celebrate his arrest.
However, Kennedy Agyapong is said to be a friend to one Charles, alias “Chairman”, whose name has been associated with the Devtraco
Ghana Limited, a Real Estate Development Company in Ghana.
Kennedy Agyapong, was also a colleague of the ex-drug convict, Eric Amoateng, in both the NPP
and in Parliament.
Alhaji Sani Dawood, who is believed to have aided Ruby and her accomplices in smuggling
the 12.5 kg of Cocaine through the VIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to the UK, is on the run.
Alhaji Dawood, is the Business Development Manager of KELM Engineering Limited, located
at Kanda in Accra.
He is also said to have called the handlers of the VIP Lounge of the KIA, to allow the three ladies access to the tarmac and unto the British Airways Plane on
November 9, 2014.
