University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS ) Begins Sandwich Programme

The University of Health and Allied Sciences in July, 2015 admitted the first batch of students for the newly introduced sandwich programmes; Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Public Health Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery.

Addressing the seventy nine (79) pioneering students at matriculation ceremony, Professor Fred Binka, Vice Chancellor of the University noted that the programme will equip students to become “better professionals with deep sense of compassion and commitment to provide community services and solutions to health problems”.

He added that the University has achieved academic excellence with internationally renowned and experienced professors, lecturers and administrators who have been assembled to provide students with requisite training in a satisfactory environment.
